Resort Collection Time – Swimsuits Already?

image

It’s that time of year again. The time when we start reviewing the new Resort Swim collections released this past summer, in search of the most lovely suits available for a jaunt off to the Caribbean, the South of France, or your uncle in Florida’s house.

It’s around this time that the swimsuit catalogs arrive in the mail and many stores put up their “holiday vacation” displays. While not everyone can afford a jaunt to the Caribbean as Christmas approaches, this time of year is a great reminder why we should never just train for a “summer body” or for a specific trip. Being ready year-round means never having to dread last-minute bikini shopping for an impromptu beach vacation.

In honor of resort season, here are a few of my favorite resort collection designers to provide you a bit of motivation to keep your bikini body throughout all four seasons. Keep reading to see some of my fave resort collection designers.

Charlie by MZ – Resort 2014
A favorite of pop starlet Rihanna, this collection is always incredibly cohesive, with colorways of the suits matching coordinating pants, skirts, blouses, and the like. Long legs and super abs are perfectly showcased in this designer’s hot collections, and I want every.single.piece.

Wildfox “Angels Off Duty” (Resort 2013)
This quirky collection always has a vintage vibe with a modern flare. Hourglass figures look great in the high-waist bottoms and strappy tops. Pair these suits, shorts, and flawy tops with big, pinup girl hair for a va-va-voom beach look to show off your hard work in the gym.

Mara Hoffman (Resort 2014)
Both on gym clothes and “life” clothes, I love a good print. Mara Hoffman delivers tons of that in her Resort 2014 collection. Tribal everything means tons of brightly colored prints and beads. Lots of midriff baring tops and high-cut swimsuits means tons of squats and sprints as well.
